FAQ's
1. How do I login to the website?
- go to www.socialdiary.com.au
- in the top right hand corner you will see 'Login'
- in the first box type your username (which is your email address)
- in the second box type your password
- click 'Log-in'
2. How do I view the Diary?
- click the tab 'Events Diary'
- to look at a day, click on the date. NB; coloured boxes represent days that have one or more events listed on that date. Dates that are white represent dates that do not have an event listed.
- to change months click on 'Previous Month' or 'Next Month' at the top of the calendar
- to change cities click on your chosen city at the top of the calendar, the current city shown is in bold
- to switch to view the calendar by week, click 'View by Week' at the bottom of the calendar
- to switch to view different weeks click 'Previous Week' or 'Next Week' at the top of the calendar
3. How do I add an event?
- click the tab 'Add Event'
- on the right hand side of the page you will see the title 'Add Event'
- fill out the info by clicking on each of the fields.
NB: you can also add an event by clicking on 'Add Event' under the calendar
NB: you can use the 'control' button on your keypad to select up to 3 options
4. How do I modify an event?
- click the tab 'Modify Event'
- on the right hand side of the page you will see 'Your Events'
- click 'Edit' on the event you wish to modify
- modify the areas you wish to change by clicking on the relevant fields
- when you have made you changes click 'Modify' at the bottom of the right hand side
- to cancel your changes click 'Cancel' at the bottom of the right hand side
5. How do I submit News for the newsletter?
- hold your mouse over the tab 'Submit' and click the option 'News'
- choose either 'Regular Item' or 'Product Call' from the drop box under 'Submission Type'
- fill out the fields (don't forget to add a picture) and click 'Submit'
6. How can I view past newsletters?
- the Newsletter Archive can be found underneath the 'Photo Gallery' tab on the right hand side of the home page
- click on the 'Newsletter Archive' icon
- click on the 'View' next to the newsletter you would like to view
7. How can I view my Membership Status?
- click on the tab 'Membership' to view your details
8. How can I Edit my Profile?
- click on the 'Edit Your Profile' icon in the members only section of the spiral notebook
- fill out the fields to update or edit your profile and click save
9. To Add Extra Login IDs:
- to add an Extra Login ID click 'Add Extra Login ID's' under membership
- fill in the fields & click save
- Please note: You must delete your email address from 'Extra Recipients' if you are still in the system, or it will read as a double-up
- to add extra recipients (people in your office who you want to receive the newsletter but not have a password to the site) click 'Add Extra Recipients' under membership
- fill in the fields & click 'Save'
10. To Add Brands/Suppliers;
- you can also add clients and suppliers on this page
- click on either 'Clients' and then add clients, or click on 'Suppliers' and then add suppliers
- click 'Save'
NB: quick access to the Member's Only sections of the website can be found in the 'Members Only' spiral notebook section on the homepage. Once you are logged in, you can access these areas by clicking on the relevant icon.
11. How do I submit Party Pics?
- hold your mouse over the tab 'Submit' and click the option 'Party Pics'
- fill out the fields (Event, Event, Name, Email, Venue & WOW Factor)
- to add a picture click in the section 'Picture' and browse your photos
- select a photo to add it
- to add an extra photo, click 'Add Extra Photo'
NB: a minimum upload of 3 photos is required, maximum of 25. Please ensure pics are the right way up.
12. How do I submit my party for "This Week's Best Events"?
- As above, but make sure you include at least 1 fantastic LANDSCAPE image.
13. How do I submit a Member Offer?
- hold your mouse over the tab 'Submit' and click the option 'Member Offer'
- fill out the fields for your Member Offer and click 'Submit'
NB: member offers must have a minimum value of $500. The Member Offer can be made up of one prize valued at $500+ or a number of prize combinations to the value of $500+. The prize/s must be distributed to the winners promptly by the person making the offer.
14. How do I enter a Member Offer?
- click on the tab 'Member Offers', which will take you to the member offers page
- click on the box next to the Member Offer you wish to enter
- fill in your details in the fields below and click 'Submit'
NB: You can enter all Member Offers but only once each.
15. How do I submit a Pet of the Week?
- hold your mouse over the tab 'Submit' and click the option 'Pet of the Week' - fill out the fields
- to add a photo click the boxes under 'Picture'
- select a photo & click 'Submit'
NB: Portrait pictures are required, not landscape – and please submit clear photos, your pet looking straight to camera is preferable.
16. How do I view Celebrity News?
- hold your mouse over the tab \'View\' and click \'Celebrity News\'
- you will view a running calendar of overseas celebrities coming to Australia and how to contact them
17. How do I view Brand Search?
- hold your mouse over the tab 'View' and click on option 'Brand Search'
- Brand Search allows you look up the clients of other members and view their contact details
- to search a brand you can enter a word, choose from the categories or search via alphabet
- once you have chosen how you want to search, click 'Search'
NB: you can also view Brand Search by clicking on the banner on the homepage
18. How do I add a brand to Brand Search?
- hold your mouse over the tab 'View' and click on option 'Brand Search'
- add your clients by selecting 'Add a listing' on the bottom right hand side
- fill out the fields & click 'Save'
19. How do I edit/delete my brand in Brand Search?
- hold your mouse over the tab 'View' and click on option 'Brand Search'
- edit your clients by selecting 'Edit My Listings' on the bottom right hand side
- edit the fields and click 'Save'
- to delete a listing please notify info@socialdiary.com.au and we can remove it for you
20. How do I view the Supplier Directory?
- hold your mouse over the tab 'View' and click the option 'Supplier Directory'
- the Supplier Directory allows you to look up Event Suppliers and view their contact details
- to search a supplier you can enter a word, choose from the categories or search via alphabet
- once you have chosen how you want to search, click 'Search'
NB: you can also view the Supplier Directory by clicking on the banner on the homepage
21. How do I add a supplier to the Supplier Directory?
- hold your mouse over the tab 'View' and click the option 'Supplier Directory'
- click on 'Add a Listing' from the Supplier Directory page
- fill out the fields & click 'Save'
22. How do I edit/delete my listing in Supplier Directory?
- hold your mouse over the tab 'View' and click the option 'Supplier Directory'
- edit your clients by selecting 'Edit My Listings' on the bottom right hand side
- edit the fields and click 'Save'
- to delete a listing please notify info@socialdiary.com.au and we can remove it for you
23. To View the Social Diary Blog:
- hold your mouse over the tab 'View' and click the option 'Social Diary Blog'
24. To View the Photo Gallery:
- click the tab 'Photo Gallery'
- click on the icon of the photos you wish to view
- to scroll through the photos either click on the photo you wish to view, or click 'Next' to move along the photos
- to view the next photo galleries click 'Next 5' at the bottom of the right hand side of the notebook
25. To View Featured Events:
- the best events each week will be featured in this section of the homepage
- to be considered for a Featured Event, please be sure to include one great landscape shot when submitting 'Party Pics'
26. To View Hottest Parties:
- Go to 'Hottest Parties' on the left hand side of the spiral notebook
- Click Event Company name to view all photos in album
27. To View Fang's Pet of the Week:
- click on the icon that says 'View Fang's Pet of the Week' in the members only section of the spiral notebook
- below the Pet of the Week you can meet Fang by clicking on the 'Meet Fang' icon
28. To View "About Social Diary":
- click on the white 'About Social Diary' post-it on the right hand side of the homepage.
