Yorkshire Tea, sponsors of England's cricket team, and their brand ambassador, former England cricket captain, Michael Vaughan, held an afternoon tea party, at the final The Bashes cricket game between England's Barmy Army and Australia's Fanatics, serving guests a proper brew.
Having recently launched the Yorkshire Tea brand in supermarkets and selected outlets across Australia, the event was a perfect opportunity for guests to have front row seats for all the action while being treated to an English, iced tea recipe using Yorkshire Tea and feasting on a menu of British Bites v Aussie BBQ tucker, by local caterer, Belinda Franks.
Guests at the event included: Australian food celebrity, Lyndey Milan and her husband, John Caldon, former NSW liberal leader, Kerry Chikarovski and her daughter Lisa Chikarovski, lawyer and Board member, GWS Giants Foundation, Valentina Stojanovska, and a host of Sydney's food, lifestyle and tea bloggers and reporters.
The final Bashes saw the Australian Fanatics take out the day. England's Barmy Army showed their fighting spirit by claiming victory in the traditional tug-o-war which England won 2-0.
Fanatics captain, Warren 'Wozza' Livingstone, was Man of the Match, and presented him with a Yorkshire Tea trophy.
